First things first.
Do not let the whole adventure thing fool you.
Yes, I am adventurous.
But I HATE flying. Yes, I said it. Hate.
Being stuck in a moving tube for a few hours? No thanks. But, being able to travel and explore new places?Absolutely worth it.
I didn't know I had this whole "adventure addiction" until I started applying to Grad school and was forced to get on a moving, flying tube. Actually, I first visited Boston for a boy a few weeks prior to Grad school interviews, but we may or may not get to that later.
So, I decided to archive my adventures. First with really crummy iphone pics, and now with sophomoric blogging. I want to share my adventures. I want to inspire others to try something different.
For the longest time I was comfortable.
I was cozy and satisfied just living my life, working two customer service jobs at generic places, and finishing up my degree at the University of Georgia. I literally lived in a box of about 60 miles, even from the hospital in which I was born (shout out to Northside, what, what!).
Needless to say, I was NOT adventurous. Adventure meant going to a red box and trying out an indie film. THAT was adventurous.
But, thankfully, my dreams and need to pursue grad school forced me onto a flying tube and revealed a side of me I didn't know existed.
The adventure side.
As I discover this part of me, I wanted to blog about it and remember the revelations along the way.
So, thank you. Thanks for sharing in my adventure, thanks for reading sophomoric writing, thanks for witnessing.
Love,
J
